Cherese Alcorn, MSW, LCSW

Meet Cherese Alcorn, MSW, LCSW, a powerhouse psychotherapist, certified sound practitioner, and Reiki Master. She is a mental and holistic wellness expert who’s shifting the game for high-performing professionals and entrepreneurs. She’s not just about self-care—she’s about real transformation, the kind that helps leaders break cycles of stress, procrastination, and burnout so they can show up fully, not just in business, but in life.

With over a decade of experience, Cherese fuses science and soul, combining cognitive neuroscience-backed mental health strategies with quantum healing principles. Her secret weapon? The power of sound healing, a proven method that regulates the nervous system and unlocks peak mental clarity. Cherese founded Wellness Beyond the Chair in 2017 as a solution to escaping workplace discrimination and harassment due to navigating a newly diagnosed invisible disability, multiple sclerosis. Since then, Cherese has built a wellness movement designed for visionaries, go-getters, and culture-shifters who refuse to settle for mistreatment and exhaustion as the price of success.

In 2024, Cherese founded a non-profit, Bridge to Abilities (BTA) to empower BIPOC individuals with autoimmune disabilities, heal beyond limits and thrive beyond barriers. BTA fosters communal healing through virtual support groups, affordable holistic wellness services, and direct financial relief for medical and mental health care, as well as basic necessities (utilities, rent, and medical supplies). Additionally, through their Movement Matters Initiative, BTA promotes gentle movement for strength, confidence, and well-being.
